The 4+1=5 Famous food in Teluk Intan

The Famous MuslimFood
Teluk Intan is also famous for its delicacies of non muslim. The most famous is the boiled noodle served with peanut gravy called Mee Mastan Ghani. A visit to Teluk Intan is said to be incomplete until the visitor tastes the noodle. For me I will still prefer the Rojak without mee there, the gravy taste nicer with deep fried onion. Another attraction is a beverage made of rose syrup mixed with coconut milk called Ais Bandung. This beverage can be found near the wet market, located on the northern riverbank.

The 4 Famous Chinese delicious food

The local Chinese community has many famous delicacies as well. One of them is 'Heong Peang' or ‘香饼’, which has a crispy layer outside and contain a mixture of malt sugar, sesame etc. There are many brand in town, Tiger Brand lah, Butterfly brand lah.. i had compare the rest de... just go n try this brand with no regret..
Kedai biskut Sin Guan Hoe 新源和饼家

Another famous delicacy in Teluk Intan is the 'Liew Kee 燎记Chee Cheong Fun' (猪肠粉), a variation of the Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun which contains turnip instead of eaten plain. Generous amount of dried prawns and “choy poh” and to be taken just with prickled green chillies, - no sauce except. The place is quite run-down .It is one of the stalls along the street that is beside the chinese temple. Try another stall of Chee Cheong Fun too, named Sam Xiu Yea'三少爷' selling at the town food court. It added the fried galic taste. Nice chee cheong fun gotta go at night.(Wonder malaysian eating habbit so wierd? Bak Kut Teh got to eat in the morning and Chee Cheong Fun got to eat at night??)

亚仔Rojak, A salad made of sengkuang, mango, cucumber, pineapple, kangkong, bean sprouts, with a rich peanut shrimp sauce. The secret to good rojak lies mainly in the gravy, 亚仔Rojak gravy originally look pink, They mix with top-quality hay kor (虾膏) then become brownish, which they then blend with other ingredients and cook with diluted tamarind juice. Added roasted belacan, sweet sauce and sesame seeds. Eh... dont pandai pandai want to grab my rojak when ur plate had not finish yet, mine one added my saliva already....! (saliva none stop flow out when the rojak serve infront of me..) :P~

Last one, the Curry Chicken Pao in Teluk Intan(Sew Bang Tong Coffee Shop苏明东茶室), guess this is the only special they hold the curry chicken with curry gravy in the pao with cooking aluminium paper. Something different I cant get it from KL yet. The Choy Pao also very nice, but DONT try the Char Siu Pao.. I dont think you will like the stinky pork smell, WHY? hehehe.. leave me a comment and I will tell u why... The shop start selling the Pao only at 1pm and finish at 3pm if u lucky u will get it after 3pm else those kiasu ppl like ME will grab all finish..hahhahaa..... you might say "..aii.. make more lah, so good business!!" But they make the pao in a certain number of quantity in a day only... you must be wondering, how come the opening hour so odd one? Thought ppl eat dim sum in the morning?? hahhaaa.. Maybe this curry chicken pao owner Ah Tong wake up to make the pao in the morning only...yes, it is very fresh, I pack the Curry Chicken Pao back to KL and left it in the fridge for 2 days.. reheat it and still taste good!!

Ok I know I know, you all sure ask me where to get all this food in Teluk Intan...below are the map for you to hunt, those places are very close to each road.Well, Teluk Intan only got 3 main road Jalan Ah Cheong, Jalan Pasar and Jalan Woo Saik Hong.. if still cannot get it.. set me there to bring u all there.. dont forget to pay my share also ya! hahhahaa.....

Short trip at Langkawi...

LCCT, next to KLIA, small in size compare to KLIA, for those had not visit the LCCT yet, just have a look with the photo taken below lah:-

It is a reasonable fare flying to Langkawi for a short trip, so decided to pay a visit to this "Free Duty Island" . Once get down from the flight, higher a Kancil for a day rate RM40 for 2 days, easy for driving around in the island mah.

Check in the Helang Hotel, 5 min walk from the air port, convenience leh..

Then go to The Padi Cuicine cafe house to have lunch .. nice place :)

After Lunch, So I simply jalan jalan and go "Field Of Burnt Rice" the first visit, nothing much lah ! quite boring, maybe i visited that place before, so nothing so special...

Langkawi's places of interest are "Mahsuri Tomb", "Ancient Tomb","Seven Well", "Field Of Burnt Rice" and those nice nice sea island surrounding are most of people would like to visit. Lately there are few more new places for tourist like "Underwater World", "Telaga Habour Park" and "Oriental Village" where you could continue your stay...

The "Underwater World" is one of the place that you need to pay for the entrance fees. The fees for Malaysian are RM28 and RM38 for walk in tourist. Attractive penquin from South Africa and 3D movie playing on every 20min schedule all included.

HAHAhahahhhh.. there is a funny advertisement encounter on the road site before you heading to "Telaga Habour Park" Another relaxing meal!! Cool!

The 2nd places that you will have to pay for "Langkawi Cable Car" is RM15 per person. If you ride cable car before at Genting Highland, then save your money going up there at the moment because the 2nd stop station close for renovation. One of my buddy told me there got a very nice bridge between the top station and the 2nd station we can walk across, nice view. Unfortunetely the 2nd station is close for renovation that day i went, not allow to exit at the 2nd station. Heavy rain also one of the causes that we could not walk around there, just stay there for awhile and Q-ing back to go down.

Just hang around at the entrance, "Oriental Village". You can dinn in few reasonable price restaurant there...

Kuah Town, is the place where you can find a lot of cheaper food/meal compare to those commercial interest visit place. Duty free shop is everywhere you could see in the Kuah Town, we are allow to bring back 1 little of liquer, 10 pcs of cigeratte and half dozen of beer back to main land. The price of liquid you can find 30% off cheaper compare to main land I bought one Vodka for RM35 only :), Ferrero Rocher is all standard price RM18.50 everywhere in any duty free shop (main land selling RM35++), Cigeratte pack of 20pcs is selling RM4.60 (main land is RM7.20) Guiness beer selling RM2.70 (Main land is about RM6.15++) , Tiger selling RM1.70 per can (Main land is selling about RM5.20++). I drank everynight with the "duty free" beer there hahhahaa.... almost want to pour the beer in my hotel bath tub and soak. kekekee....
